biography
Well here goes...
I'm from the NE of England and started playing the trumpet when I was about 9 (about 20 years ago) crikey, I'm getting old!!
I went to a music college to do my degree (trumpet). After that I spent some time as a freelance trumpet player. I performed with professional orchestras and opera companies in the UK.
In 2000, I was given a scholarship to take part in the Lake Placid International Trumpet Seminar in New York.
Really love a lot of classical music but also play in a big band and a couple of R n B function bands (one of which I play in a brass section with Swordfish).
Now really enjoy classroom music teaching in a school in NE England.
Really enjoy listening to stuff on the amp.

Summer Day
Hi there everyone.
This is my new song. The music, lyrics, performance and mixing are all my own (so that means I'm the only one to blame if it sounds bad...gulp!) All the sounds are VST instruments played in via keyboard except my singing and the flugel horn playing, which is me playing live into my mic at home.
I'm hoping that my cubase skills have improved since my last upload but I'd still appreciate any feedback.
I feel that it sounds a bit like the Lighthouse Family in places - Don't know if that pleases me or not!!!!
Lyrics (if anyone's interested)
In the summer, I go walking
And the breeze, it blows my mind
Past the trees and stream, such a lovely sky
I can leave my blues behind
In the village I see an angel
She smiles at me from her window
Such a shame, I may never see her again
I go strolling down to the river
Fish come up to speak to me
As I look down at my reflection
I see angel sitting with me.
Hope you like it.

Since
Hi all
Now that the summer hols are here I really wanted to get something uploaded on the site.
If you listened to Funkytown, which I did with Swordfish, you would have seen that I am fairly new to all things Cubase.
This is just a ditty that I did to try and learn some Cubase techniques. PLEASE DON'T VOTE!!!!
It took about an hour and a half and I know that the guitar is pretty ropey as is the singing (I did it after midnight so had to sing really quietly). I hate fade outs but again it was practice for using automation.
Comments very much appreciated, constructive criticism especially!
Cheers
